The Friesacher Family

Salzburgs hospitality in its 6th generation

In 1515 the Hotel Friesacher and Restaurant Friesacher was first recorded; at that time, a tavern was located on this site which was eventually bought by the Friesacher family in 1846. Since 1989 the Friesacher hotel and restaurant has been run by Sabine and Michael Friesacher in the 6th generation.
With their children Elisabeth, Verena and Michael, the 7th generation of hosts is appearing. The Friesacher enterprise also includes a large farm which still supplies the wonderful ingredients to the restaurant’s award-winning kitchen.

Additional businesses joined the Friesacher enterprise in 2009 by consolidating the businesses of the widespread Friesacher family in the immediate neighbourhood: the Friesacher Heurigen, Friesacher Einkehr and the Friesacher Stadl are just around the corner.
